I own DSL and it works just fine. The error message say for the results.....No answer. I do not want to pay somebody to come here and cause me look dumb. Please help.

You want to have the little DSL filter between the wall jack and the HP 3030. You stipulation your computer connection (via the DSL modem to be unfiltered.
You may requirement a "line splitter" so you can send one side to the DSL modem and the other side to the DSL filter (and later to the HP 3030).
