This is my problem: underneath the Printer Setup Utility on the Mac, I can access the printer, via the network, on the desktop. I can Add the Z23 by given name to my printer list on the Mac, and I can even select that printer and transport something to it from the Mac. The print head will cycle, but nil prints. I am convinced that if I could get the correct driver assigned to the printer on the Mac, it would print only fine. Any idea how to assign drivers to supply to the list of printers below Printer Model (in the Printer Info box)?
Thanks! Please let me know if you involve more information.
I am trying to print from an iBook (Mac) to a Lexmark Z23 printer connected to a Dell desktop. Driver problems
I don't think you can a moment ago assign drivers here and there, and newly magically make things work. I've tried access a priner on a networked computer from my Mac, but it one-time; but unlike your case, the printer didn't even brand the noise it usually does up to that time printing something. I ended up purchasing a printer that does work near my Mac.
From my experience the Mac forums have culture that have profusely of experience dealing Macs. Apple.com> Support> Discussions.
Try installing this driver:
http://mac.softpedia.com/get/drivers/lex...
Then plug into the printer separate from the dell (unplug form PC, then plug contained by usb connection from iBook)
Then Try to draw from it to print.
