I own replaced the cartridge. I enjoy tried several self-cleaning episodes. I have tried "hot water" at capillary bump into point between cartridge facade and main plastic housing. Cartridge provider suggested using domestic "Glass cleaner". Have tried this but no go. Have also tried cycle pump over get together point.
Does anybody have any more suggestions?
A Service would indicate it would be cheaper to buy a new printer.
Surely near must be a simple way to restore this section to full function?

I am trying to restore "Magenta" print colour to a Brother MFC-3820CN all-in-one Printer.?
Domestic Glass cleaner is bang on.
It have to be one containing ammonia-D. what you will want to do is with an eye dropper place 1-2 drops on the ink port within the printer. Wait about 10-20 minutes install the videotape and run a couple cleanings. Print heads are roast sensitive, I would strongly discourage the use of HOT water on any printer beside an integrated print head.
There is other the method of running multiple print head cleanings. On any brother printer you merely have to hit the INK button and scroll through the option until you hit clean print skipper and hit OK. This does use a lot of ink, but the manufacturer cleaning method does work.
Once you do get the printer put a bet on up and running make a point to run a print go before cleaning once per month as a preventative measure.
Carefully apply isopropanol to the inkjets for 3 mins. use tissue to draw ink from the jet to establish ink flow. then run printer principal cleaner program.
