I am unqualified to install hp laserjet 2600n on my computer.Win XP. error message,INF missing.?

Upgrade drivers
Are you SURE that you're browsing to the right location on the installation compact disc? An .inf file is an information record that guides the setup program to know where to look for adjectives the other files.



Try to browse the CD and see if you can find ANY .inf profile. Have you clicked on the setup.exe? or are you letting it 'autostart'?
Try using the original driver cd or try to download the most recent version from the support.hp.com from drivers and download slice most probably you might have missing window inf files try copying i386 folder from you cd to c:/i386
You would need a cd rom contained by order to install the hp laserjet 2600n onto your computer.
only just insert the cd rom of the laserjet and follow the instructiona pperaing on the screen.
